It will steal your Soul
8/10/12/15m now in stock! (while they last)
If Big Air and speed is what your looking for, then this is the kite for you. I've had the opportunity to fly the 12 and 15m Spirit on both snow and water, and it is definately living up to its reputation. This is the most powerful kite I have personally flown, and yet it remains super solid and and well behaved, with easy inflation and relaunch off of water.
The Spirit has been coined a Performance Freeride, sitting somewhere between the Flysurfer Soul and Sonic III in terms of performance. This summer the Spirit has consistently been topping the weekly Woo charts for highest jumps both nationally and internationally. It builds power fast and has a lot of lift, but also sits pretty far forward in the wind window and is quite efficient, making it a performance beast. It does all this while being surprisingly easy to fly: very quick to inflate; rock solid stability, and easy water relaunch. Enormous potential in this kite. I have yet to hear of a person who prefers the Soul over the Spirit, when given the opportunity to try both.
The Spirit will be perfect for someone who wants all the speed, lift and efficiency benefits of a higher-performance foil kite, but that doesn't plan on doing as much hike-in/backcountry snowkiting, which would favor the Little Cloud Pelican.
From GIN:
The kitesurf SPIRIT 2020 is a closed cell foil kite dedicated to Freeride, developed by Hans BOLLINGER and brought to perfection by MAXIME NOCHER (11 times world champion). Perfect on water, land or snow, this versatile kite will allow you to learn or surpass yourself regardless of your support (Foil, Surf, Twin Tip).
LIGHT AND EASY TO HANDLE
The SPIRIT’s light weight construction makes it great in low wind conditions without sacrificing its strong wind capabilities.
The technology & design make for an extremely agile kite, which helps you master any maneuver you want.
VERSATILE
The SPIRIT is an “all-round” kite that delivers constant power already at low speeds. Its light and direct bar feel let’s you navigate with a easy to fly and highly reactive kite.
COMFORTABLE
The SPIRIT requires little helm adjustment as it eliminates wind variations. This provides comfortable, effortless steering.
MAXIME NOCHER, professional kitesurfer and founder of the FLYMAAX brand, decided to support GIN KITEBOARDING for its production quality and innovation strategy (MARABOU, SHAMAN, KILAIA, etc.).
Pro rider of the French Kitesurf Team (Race, Foil and Slalom) and test driver of the R&D GIN Team, Maxime Nocher is considered the little kitesurf/kitefoil prodigy. Crowned 11 times World Kite Champion in «Race» and present on the highest step of the podium of many competitions, Maxime was launched at the age of 11 in the big bath of the world of sailing and kitesurfing by his father, a windsurfing enthusiast and kite pioneer in 1990.
Maxime has already set his sights on the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, where a kitesurfing event has been added to the programme. He hopes on this occasion to shine and win the title of Olympic Champion on the waves of the Mediterranean Sea, where he learned everything, since the kite races will take place in Marseille.
